Admissions Tests Resources
Most Oxford and Cambridge courses, along with a number of other competitive UK university courses, require applicants to sit a subject-specific admissions test. These tests assess academic potential and problem-solving ability in ways that go beyond what is covered in the school curriculum, and most universities use them to help decide who to invite to interview.

Discontinued tests
Oxford and Cambridge retired most of their bespoke admissions tests between 2023 and 2025, and the UAT-UK tests above took their place. The papers below are still worth working through: they are the closest thing to a past paper archive that exists for the newer tests.
These tests are no longer sat. Their papers are kept here because they remain the best practice material for the tests that replaced them — the question styles carried over even though the tests did not. If you are applying now, check your course page for the test you actually need.
